Atlanta’s defense was terrific, as the only Colts score came off of an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

Quarterback Matt Ryan turned in his best game of the season, throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns.

The Falcons head into Week 10 with a huge matchup looming against the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome.

It seems like Jones and tight end Tony Gonzalez have somewhat taken over for star wideout Roddy White.

While the Falcons are happy to get a win, it has to be really concerning that they gave up 28 points to the hapless Seahawks.

The deal would bring in about $150 million, but Blank has downplayed the possibility and called it unlikely to happen.

Bon Jovi’s love of football is no secret, and he was the owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena League for five years.

Blank is attemping to get some cash together to help the team’s financial situation and possibly build a new stadium.

The Falcons are worth approximately $1 billion, which is how the $150 million was derived.

The Falcons couldn’t be more happy with their head coach despite this year’s disappointing playoff performance.

He has guided Atlanta to the playoffs in two of his first three seasons as the head coach and helped the city forget about Michael Vick.

Smith had just one year remaining on his initial four-year deal, so the team wanted to give him a vote of confidence.

No coach ever wants to go into a season as a potential lame duck, so this is a smart move by Atlanta.

The Atlanta Falcons saw their home dominance come to a screeching halt in a 48-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Quarterback Matt Ryan had lost just two games at home in his entire three-year career entering into the matchup with Green Bay.

It was a horror show for Ryan, who finished with 186 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Those numbers pale in comparison to his ugly statistics at halftime.

Ryan threw an interception just before halftime that was returned all the way to the end zone as time expired, and that seemed to really change momentum.

The Atlanta defense certainly deserves its share of the blame as well, as they had absolutely no answer for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ passing attack.

In what was expected to be a high scoring game, neither team could seem to get things going offensively on a consistent basis.

After surrendering a touchdown and falling behind by three points with just over three minutes to play, the Falcons were hoping for another comeback.

This time, quarterback Matt Ryan wasn’t able to work his magic against a Saints defense that rebounded from a poor performance last week.

Despite the loss, the Falcons can still secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a win next week against the hapless Carolina Panthers.
